Alley’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility

Between the racial, political, and health crises that defined 2020, self-reflection quickly became a common theme — and we were no exception. While diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) have always been valued and prioritized here at Alley, we felt it was time to define our efforts, set measurable goals, and incorporate them into our practice with intentionality and mindfulness.

We uphold that diverse perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds fuel our best work and foster authentic collaboration across the organizations and communities we work with. And we know that the best teams are those where everyone can bring their whole self. That’s why we seek to cultivate an environment where diversity is not only a strength, but a staple in producing the best work (and work environment) possible.

Our tenets of quality, transparency, and accountability are at the core of what we do, and when it comes to our DEIA efforts, we want to ensure that our progress is meaningful and tangible. To that end, we’ve developed a pledge and outlined actionable steps to help us create a more inclusive space for all people — including historically marginalized groups such as women, BIPOC, 2SLGBTQIA+ people, and people with disabilities.

At Alley, diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) are at the heart of our mission to reclaim the internet as an awesome place to work, play, and explore
